Neither fools nor assholes: we have dignity. No to interventionism

Article 1 National Constitution of Panama stipulates that the Panamanian nation is organized into an independent and sovereign state in the form of the Republic of Panama, and indicates that its form of government is unitary, republican, democratic, representative.

What does that mean?. Well, it’s simple. What I want to express is the following: There is currently a debate on freedom of expression, free expression of thought, freedom of expression without prior censorship, after the resolution election court by which certain media and certain journalists are ordered not to deal with propaganda qualifications about the person of the presidential candidate.

“Our wine is bitter, but it is our wine.”

That wine, ours, is the wine we drink, with pleasure or with it disdain, taste, taste, “taste”.a word from the wine jargon, but if someone told us that a foreign or foreign wine is better than ours, it would lead to insulting or belittling our own dignity, our nationality, our national pride, in our own home.

That the ambassador, that of the United States of America, even issued a statement published on the embassy’s profile or website that she was very concerned about the resolution of the Electoral Court – regarding censorship – and that she knew undermines democracy and the rule of law, That is something unheard of. That decision of the Electoral Court worried them a lot, it gave them great cause for concern.

I wish to express, with great respect, the Ambassador United States of America, Licensed to Mari Carmen Aponte, that the one who undermines the rule of law and democracy in Panama is herself with these unfortunate statements and constant interventionism in our public life and as a state or nation, it is herself.

The one that you, as an ambassador United States of America in Panama, To whose people, whose country, ours, he opened the door, I think he abuses our hospitality and our feelings as people and noble people, he abused that welcome.

You don’t have to interfere in any decisions. Electoral court or judicial branch nor any institution in our country, nor in those matters that are within our free competence as citizens.

You’re hurting, believe me, you’re insulting the dignity of Panamanians, of all of us who still believe in the concept of the Motherland; of us who still believe in nationality and believe in the Altar of the homeland as a sanctuary in which we worship, serve and worship with ours altruism of virtuous citizens.

How are you going to say you’re worried? Rule of law and democracy in Panamaif you yourself, by your actions and constant meddling, are the one undermining it, it is obvious that I declare that you are walking all over the state territory like the old viceroyal way, and I repeat, with all the respect you deserve, Please do not interfere in our affairs, for as I have argued, our wine is bitter, but, at the end of the day, it is our wine, the grapes of which are grown and harvested from our own vineyards, from our own land.

This means that we, Panamanians and no one else, are before problems, we solve, think, decide, criticize, move forwardwe consult, progress, adding, daily, with ours intelligence and knowledge, twinned in one bundle of good will, so every interventionism ends with the translation of domination, subjugation, ignorance and ignorance of our history, our nationalism and above all our national dignity.

I invite you all to listen to the audio recording which filmed by my brother, political scientist and lawyer Ramiro Guerra, which circulated on social networks, where it refers to this interference of Mrs. Aponte, which is truly shameful, since the good relations of Panama with United States of Americaafter so many decades of shameful relationships, arrogance, humiliation and the death of innocents, they were left behind.

We believe that today it must rule within the framework of good cordiality, good relations, good relations between our peoples, among our fellow citizens, but we must not allow interference, overt and covert interventionism, since no one likes a stranger to walk into their house and start arranging the furniture in that home and deciding where any artifact or piece of furniture should go or be inside the house.

Madam Ambassador: We organize the furniture in our house ourselves, we Panamanians And this also applies to other nationalities or other embassies, respect.

We are a noble people, a melting pot of races, but not fools or idiots.

! God bless the country!
