Blick Media tourist Sarina Dünnenberger has received tickets to a Taylor Swift concert in Letzigrund. She believes the prices are justified.

Thursday, 10:00 am: Taylor Swift’s Letzigrund concert pre-sale starts next year. I frown: a standing room costs 163 francs. I expected higher prices.

It’s no secret that concert ticket prices tend to be out of control. Example: According to a Loudwire article, the American rock band Foo Fighters charged about 15 francs for a ticket in 1996. Anyone who wanted to see Coldplay live at Letzigrund in early July 2023 paid ten times as much for a standing seat. Reason: For a good 20 years, CD revenues have plummeted, since then live performances have become the main source of income for musicians.

44 songs in the setlist

That’s why I constantly ask myself at concerts: what will I get for my money? In the case of Taylor Swift, a lot! The show lasts more than three hours, the singer from the USA performs as many as 44 songs.

The concert often lasts from 90 minutes to two hours and includes 20 to 30 songs. Thus, Swift breaks the rules with his new tour. Not to be forgotten is the elaborate stage show that is offered to the fans. In addition to the singer’s 16 costume changes, viewers will receive luminous bracelets that will provide highlights during the show.

In the end, it’s up to you to decide how much you’re willing to spend on a concert ticket. However, one thing is clear to me: I got a good deal on my Taylor Swift ticket.
