Concert of ten pianists on the Tui International Bridge 2017 Author: Oscar Vazquez
All artists interested in participating in the Tui cultural meeting can register until the 10th
The Ikfem festival — held every year in selected and symbolic places in Tua and Valença do Minho and revolving around the idea of the keyboard — will take place this year between July 20 and 25. This is already the 11th edition of the event, which this time opens its reach to Lusofonia, with the participation of Brazil. In addition, artists from Spain, Portugal, Cuba and Cape Verde will perform.
The organization says that the international bridge that connects both cities will be the scene of the start of the festival this year “with a show that will surprise the attendees”. With the artists who make up the line-up to be announced next week, this year the festival opens participation through Ikfem Creativa, “a lively place where local Galician and Portuguese talents can be promoted together: music, gastronomy, dance, fashion, painting, literature, theater, among other disciplines,” the organization points out.
Until July 10
Those interested in participating can already register on the festival’s website. The call will be open until July 10, both for Galician and Portuguese creatives.
From all applicants, the organization will make a selection of the best creators who will be allocated sales, exhibition and demonstration spaces, investing all the necessary funds for each activity. The creators of Tuija and Valença will have priority in the selection.
