In a vote on whether to terminate the currently valid collective bargaining agreement 2015 (GAV 15) between Kapers and Swiss, members of the Kapers cabin crew union openly spoke in favor of the termination. The current contract will remain in effect until April 30, 2024.

A clear majority of about 85% voted to terminate the current GAV 15. 2,503 voters of Kapers, who are employed in Zurich and Geneva locations in Switzerland under the GAV 15 collective bargaining agreement, were invited to vote electronically.

GAV 15 is valid until the end of April 2024.

The current GAV 15 is valid until April 30, 2024 and all rights and obligations valid today are in effect. This concerns, for example, Kapers’ rights of joint determination and joint determination, or the absolute obligation of peace, writes the union.

Kapers will begin negotiations with Swiss for a new CLA on May 30, 2023. The first collective bargaining agreement for 2023 was openly rejected at the ballot box in February. (pbe/SDA)
