The battle for personnel is getting worse and worse. This is also the case in the aviation industry. CCO Tamur Goudarzi Pour recently announced that Swiss has hired around 600 new people in the first quarter of 2023 alone.

Small competitors in Germany have to keep up. For example, Helvetic Airways has been offering rooms for rent to its employees in a “Helvetic-WG” near the airport in Kloten ZH since March.

Rival President Airlines is now going one step further, offering their employees the option of a “work” combined with work and vacation, as well as a free vacation on the Spanish island of Mallorca.

Everyone benefits from Finca

According to President Airlines CEO Shpend Ibrahimi, the airline has chartered a finca in Mallorca from the beginning of May until the end of October 2023. In Esports, just northwest of the capital Palma. With a 50 percent reduction in the number of hours in the so-called smart office, employees are allowed to work there for a week. Up to five employees can be registered at the same time. The site has its own rooms with private bathrooms and enough space to work. Infrastructure is provided.

But the President also thought of employees who are in direct contact with the customer or who are incapable of doing any work. “For six months, we reserved two rooms with bathrooms for them as a vacation room,” explains Ibrahimi. Subject to availability, all employees can book these holiday rooms.

To the island with your own plane

Finca is provided free of charge. To get there, employees can fly to Mallorca with a chair on standby, or take advantage of heavily discounted flight prices to be sure of a seat. A flat fee of 100 francs is charged for holiday rooms in Finca only for cleaning and expenses. The offer is always valid for employees, including their spouses. The employee does not have to pay these costs.
