Sunrise is raising its subscription prices by about 4 percent.

The surcharge affects the list prices of subscriptions and is around 4 percent, as announced by Sunrise on Tuesday. Concretely, this means that the currently offered Sunrise Up subscriptions are priced between CHF 0.90 and CHF 2.90 per month and the subscription prices will increase by CHF 1 for Yallo subscriptions and CHF 0.95 for Lebara. The new prices are valid from 1 July 2023.

In the detailed rationale, Sunrise refers to increased energy, labor and operating costs. In 2022, Switzerland will have the highest inflation in 30 years. However, in order to at least ensure a certain price stability, no inflation-related price adjustments will be made in subscriptions before 2025.

Adjust prices for inflation

As part of the step, Sunrise is also adjusting the General Terms and Conditions (GTC). These are now provided by adding to inflation. It was noted that Sunrise is able to adjust its service prices according to inflation once every calendar year.

It is known that there is no price increase due to inflation from other major telecom providers in Switzerland. (SDA/smt)
