Samsung Switzerland boss Dario Casari said Swiss customers are happy to spend more money on new developments. (archive image)

The growth in the premium segment affects the entire market. “Even though you have to say that the Swiss market is de facto divided between the two providers,” Casari continued in an interview with “NZZ am Sonntag”, without naming rival Apple. In particular, more powerful cameras and better battery performance are demanded.

On the other hand, Swiss use their smartphones for an average of 27 months – three months longer than two years ago.

Local customers are among the first to adopt: they immediately want new developments and are willing to pay for them. When it comes to foldable smartphones that cost around 1,900 francs, Switzerland is one of the leaders in an international comparison measured by total smartphone sales. (SDA)
