The Lufthansa subsidiary said Wednesday that the reason for expanding the offer is the continued increase in demand. Commercial director Tamur Goudarzi Pour said Swiss is currently feeling a lot of momentum and an ongoing desire to travel despite all the economic and political uncertainties.
Compared to the summer months, Swiss is doubling its offerings to Miami, on Florida’s southern tip, to 14 flights a week. China’s metropolis of Shanghai will be serviced by Switzerland, which is six times a week in winter and twice that in summer.
Swiss once again flies daily to the island state of Singapore in Southeast Asia, offering passengers an additional flight each week. There are also daily flights to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, during the winter months. In total, Switzerland offers 14 more flights per week than in the summer.
