Kilchberg is the most expensive municipality in Switzerland. This is the result of an assessment by the Iazi real estate agency. The comparison takes into account the property prices of all 2000 municipalities in Switzerland. Kilchberg won ahead of three other clubs at Lake Zurich. An average detached house with 5.5 rooms costs well over 3 million Swiss Francs here.
Chocolate collection as a magnet for newcomers
Located on the left bank of Lake Zurich, just 10 minutes’ drive from the metropolis of Zurich, home of the Lindt chocolate factory, the community has been attracting newcomers for years. This influx drives up the prices of luxury apartments. But especially in medium-sized companies, the prices went to a gallop.
So much so that Switzerland’s most expensive place to live can no longer be found on the Gold Coast, although traditionally the rich and beautiful live there.
