As the UBI announced on Thursday, the complaint against Swiss radio and television (SRF) was rejected by three votes to four. A complaint about “traffic information” from Radio SRF was also dismissed. The complaint criticized the one-sided focus on road traffic and congestion reports, and thus uneven reporting.

However, the UBI concluded that there had been no violation of the principle of diversity or discrimination and unanimously dismissed the complaint.

However, according to UBI, the two reports broadcast by Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS) violated the principle of reasonableness and thus the journalistic duty of care. Two RTS broadcasts covered working conditions at Geneva’s local radio station, Radio Cité.
