Czech national carrier CSA has definitely seen better days. The fleet currently consists of a leased A320 that the airline uses to service a route. From Prague to Paris and back. Still, the CSA has reason to celebrate. As the aviation portal Aerotelegraph writes, this year it celebrates its 100th birthday. A truly proud age for an airline.
During the Corona crisis, the CSA was on the verge of collapse. The airline had to file for bankruptcy. First of all, Airbus asked for money for the planes ordered. Later, however, the airline’s aircraft manufacturer reached an agreement and canceled the order. Without the concession, the CSA probably wouldn’t be able to celebrate its 100th birthday. And he could not survive the epidemic.
Six planes again soon
Now the airline is looking to grow again, as Aerotelegraph reports. Take off slowly in the second leased A320. Four A220-300s will complete the fleet in 2024. Possible destinations are Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Bucharest, Rome and Madrid. Before the crisis, CSA also flew to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Moscow. (be)
