Layoffs at German optics giant Fielmann: Chain wants to lay off hundreds of jobs by 2025. This emerges from a report by the online portal “Business Insider”.
In the first step, 66 jobs will be eliminated by mid-2024 and “a few hundred jobs in total” by 2025, the portal wrote in reference to an email sent to employees on Friday.
According to the report, the Fielmann branch network should therefore not be affected, jobs will be lost in the administration of the Hamburg company and in its education, training and production facilities.

The article quotes a company spokesperson as saying that Fielmann aims to cut the first 66 jobs through a “volunteer program” in collaboration with the works council.
