Boeing suspends 787 Dreamliner deliveries again

This is due to additional inspections of a component of the airframe. The agency said deliveries would not resume until the FAA is satisfied that the issue has been satisfactorily resolved. A statement from Boeing was not initially available. Investors reacted nervously, initially allowing the Airbus competitor’s shares to drop nearly three percent in after-hours US trading.

Dreamliner, one of Boeing’s most important aircraft models, has repeatedly caused problems in recent years. Due to various manufacturing defects, the aircraft was not allowed to be delivered to customers from May 2021 to August 2022. The last time it was re-registered, the FAA announced that it would inspect each 787 individually in the future before certifying it for airworthiness.
