The crypto world is in deep crisis. A little over a year ago, one bitcoin cost around $70,000. Since then, the route has (almost) only known one direction: down. And the recent collapse of FTX, once the largest crypto exchange, and the scandalous headlines about its founder, Sam Bankman-Fried (30), have illuminated the industry badly.
In the midst of these uncertain times, a special conference on the subject is held at Switzerland’s luxury ski resort, St. Moritz GR. As reported by Inside Paradeplatz, a ticket for the three-day event in January costs between 5,800 and 7,800 francs.
Hotel is not included in the price
The Crypto Finance Conference (CfC) is an event for crypto investors. It takes place on the premises of the most expensive hotels in the Upper Engadine. For example Suvretta House or Badrutt Palace.
Not only is the location exclusive, participation is tightly regulated. It’s not enough to spend 7,800 francs for three days – beware of staying in luxury hotels. No, you have to apply to get one of the tickets that cost several thousand francs. Start-ups and technology companies are prohibited from participating. The conference only accepts financially strong investors and big players.
First class guests and dentist awards
250 distinguished participants will attend the conference in January. Among them is the current star of the scene, Binance boss Changpeng Zhao (45). Among the famous guests is Thomas Moser (55), Member of the Board of the Swiss National Bank SNB.
You hardly notice a crisis. When asked about generous prices by Inside Paradeplatz, CfC CEO Nicolo Stöhr says they roughly correspond to prices at other conferences, for example for dentists.
