Herzog and de Meuron hand over office to employees

According to the report, shareholding agreements were signed with 15 partners of the company recently. This regulates how the company will be sold to key employees step by step by the two founders. Adrian Keller will continue to lead the operations business as CEO.

“This concrete and binding plan provides a clear perspective and commitment to all other employees and our customers,” said Pierre de Meuron. The office was established in 1978 and was transformed into AG in 1997. In addition to its headquarters in Basel, the company has branches in Hong Kong, Berlin, Munich, London, New York and San Francisco.

The group, which has 15 companies, currently employs around 600 people, and industry experts estimate the company’s market value to be over CHF 100 million. The architects became famous for buildings such as the Tate Gallery in London, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Olympic Stadium in Beijing, and the football stadiums in Munich and Basel.
