The year 2022 was “perfect” for Europa-Park. Thanks to a hot summer and the great need to catch up after Corona. But now the sky is darkening over the fun paradise. High inflation and rising energy prices are forcing the park to raise prices for next year. That’s what the German Press Agency wrote on Tuesday.
Entry to Europa-Park will cost at least €57.50 from March, making it about 5 percent more expensive for adults than before. Prices for children will also increase by an average of two euros from 25 March 2023. According to founder and shareholder Roland Mack (73), the park “does not fully cover the cost increases”.
2022 is the record year
Despite the many crises in and around Europe, the park expects a new visitor record this year. Projected, more than 6 million visitors are expected to visit Europa-Park and adjacent water parks by the end of the year. Before the pandemic in 2019, it had 5.7 million visitors.
In recent years, the park has invested about 80 million in new attractions. Now it seems to be paying off. There are only delays in completing a new roller coaster. The “Big Dipper,” as the railway is named, probably won’t open until 2024 due to supply bottlenecks.
