The canton of Basel-Stadt buys a 31,000 square meter plot from Novartis Pharma AG in the district of Kleinhüningen. As announced on Tuesday, the government approved the purchase agreement with the municipality of Basel.
The plot is located in the industrial and commercial district and is intended to serve as the “urgently needed reserve area for infrastructure and industrial uses” of the canton.
The purchase price remains confidential
This may include uses by the cantonal civil engineering office or Basel Industrial Works (IWB) as the director of Immobilien Basel-Stadt specified at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency.
It was decided not to disclose the purchase price. According to the manager, a sales contract is a contract under private law whose content is not publicly available. (SDA)
