Discounter Lidl is recalling a popular drink in Switzerland.

A major recall is ongoing at Lidl in Germany. The discounter warns, “Do not consume under any circumstances.” Customers must be careful about recalls. The affected product is “Solevita Smoothie Red Genius,” a popular smoothie. Packaging size: 250ml. Expiration date is March 12, 2024 and March 13, 2024.

When asked by Blick, the press office confirmed that this drink is also available in Swiss branches of the discount store Lidl. Or better yet: The smoothie was there yesterday until Thursday. “We immediately removed the product from sale,” it continues. The product can be returned to any Lidl branch, even if there is no invoice left.

Nausea, vomiting, etc. – stay away!

Why the urgency? Manufacturer Molkerei Gropper GmbH & Co. According to KG, the affected smoothie contained aronia juice contaminated with patulin. Patulin is a harmful substance (mycotoxin) produced by mold that can cause nausea, vomiting and indigestion. “Customers should therefore definitely pay attention to the recall,” says Lidl.
