The Zurich Supreme Court overturned the decision against former Raiffeisen boss Pierin Vincenz.
As the Supreme Court spokesperson explained upon Blick’s question, this is not a decision regarding the content of the issue. On the contrary, the decision of the Zurich District Court was overturned due to “serious procedural errors”. Among other things, the right to be heard was violated. The indictment was quite comprehensive. This made it very difficult for the defendants to defend themselves effectively.
Additionally, according to the high court spokesman, the entire indictment had to be translated into French because there was a French-speaking defendant.
The high court sent the file back to the prosecutor’s office.
