Error in game rules
Although the ticket clearly stated 20 grams of gold, there was a calculation error at Swisslos. The game rules on the website say: 20 grams of gold for 2,280 francs each. But this is the value of 40 grams of gold. “The amount of francs shown is the value enjoyed by the winners. That’s why we pay the higher value to all winners,” a spokesperson said when asked by Blick.
The ticket provider discovered this error when purchasing the gold coins, before the first gold bars were sent to the lucky winners. Therefore, Swisslos did not incur any additional costs; They were expecting 2,280 francs per winner from the start. However, the 20 grams of gold statement on the ticket can no longer be changed.
“We wouldn’t even notice”
Blick reader S. admits: “We wouldn’t have noticed. “We were only expecting 20 grams of gold, but we didn’t pay any attention to its value.” Still, it was a pleasant surprise, of course.
