Ivanovic was previously head of the Switzerland and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) regions at UBS, UBS announced Wednesday. He played a key role in developing and implementing UBS’s wealth management strategy and expanding collaboration with corporate and institutional clients. Ivanovic started his career in 1992 with a banking internship at a large bank and worked in all departments of UBS. He also worked in various executive positions at Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley.
Additionally, Beatriz Martin Jimenez will take over the role where she was previously responsible for Harford’s “Sustainability and Impact” at the corporate governance level. He will assume this role in addition to his previous responsibilities as Head of Non-Core and Legacy, President EMEA and UK Chief Executive Officer. Martin Jimenez has been with UBS since 2012 and, according to information, has held various key positions in business and finance over the past twelve years.
The departing Harford joined UBS in 2017 and took over as head of asset management in 2019. Under his leadership, the major bank continuously developed and expanded its asset management business. Most recently, he was responsible for the integration of Credit Suisse’s asset management activities. He also played a leading role in coordinating sustainability efforts across the group. (SDA)
