This was reported by The Nation newspaper, citing the Thai aviation authority. It was stated that some of them serve only domestic destinations with a small fleet, while some also have international flights in their schedules.
“Really Cool Airlines” will first fly from Thailand to cities in Japan, then to Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai, Singapore newspaper “Straits Times” reported on Tuesday. The airline plans to start flying in March. Other new airlines are Pattaya Airways, Asia Atlantic Airlines, Avanti Air Sarter, Asian Aerospace Service, Landarch Airlines, Bangkok Helicopter Services and P80 Air, but a definitive schedule has not been announced.
The government hopes to attract up to 40 million foreign tourists to the country in 2024; this number is the same as in 2019, before the pandemic. Despite all the incentives, including visa-free entry for visitors from China and Russia, only around 27 million international guests will arrive in 2023, officials recently announced. (SDA)
