Soft drinks are becoming increasingly popular

The number of breweries is decreasing after the boom in recent years. According to the Federal Customs Administration, there are 1,191 breweries in Switzerland. Austria, Lithuania and Romania follow the ranking. Per capita consumption in Switzerland is around 53 liters per year. The cantonal rating is available at the internet retailer Brack.ch. Accordingly, the people of Lucerne make the biggest contribution to beer sales compared to the number of residents. Glarus and Aargau are next in line.
