Few people will be familiar with the name Arthur Eugster (72). The Thurgau native controls a vast home appliance empire with his company Eugster/Frismag. The company produces coffee machines and other household appliances for well-known brands such as Jura, Melitta and Miele. Approximately 3,000 employees work at locations in Switzerland, Portugal and China.

Eugster/Frismag and other companies belong to the AE family holding company. Both companies are headquartered in Amriswil TG. His company investments make Eugster one of the richest men in Switzerland. The balance sheet currently estimates its assets at between 600 and 700 million francs.

Shares have been expanded

Eugster also invested his money in the Signa Holding of deceased real estate tycoon René Benko (46). The Thurgau native is already one of the most important investors in the Benko company.

According to the news of “Der Standard” newspaper and other Austrian media, more posts are now being added. On November 10, the joint-stock companies Eugster/Frismag AG and AE Familienholding AG acquired the “Familie Benko 2017 Zwei GmbH” stake in Signa Holding GmbH.

According to the official gazette, the changes were recorded in the trade registry on Tuesday. The total share of new shareholders is 11.5 percent. (SDA/koh)
