There are a total of 19 new names in this year’s “Balance Sheet” list of the 300 richest Swiss.
These include well-known names such as real estate entrepreneur Anja Graf (46), known from the TV show “Höhle der Löwen”, or jet-setter Patrick Liotard-Vogt (39), the majority shareholder of the community platform “It’s a Small World”. for the rich. Or new heavyweights like Brazilian billionaires Carlos Sicupira, 75, and Marcel Telles, 73, of investment firm 3G Capital, both of whom recently moved to luxury St. Louis. Moritz went to live in GR.
It is particularly noteworthy that five of the 19 new people on the list come from Norway. This isn’t a complete surprise. Two years ago, Norway’s social democratic government increased the wealth tax and dividend tax on the rich. This was followed by the migration of wealthy Norwegians to low-tax Switzerland.
The following five Norwegians made it to the “Balance Sheet” list of the richest Swiss:
Ninja Tollefsen (37)
At the end of 2022, Tollefsen will inherit approximately 3.6 billion francs from his father, real estate tycoon Ivar Tollefsen (62), and will move to Lugano TI. There is no entrepreneurial role in the Fredensborg family business.
Caroline Hagen Kjos (39)
Father Stein Erik Hagen (67), the second richest man in Norway with his numerous investments, transferred most of his family assets and his shares in the family company Canica to his daughter years ago. Media-shy Caroline Hagen Kjos has lived in the canton of Schwyz since 2009.
Jorgen Dahl (54)
Dahl has been successful since the 1990s with Sector Alarm, one of Europe’s largest alarm systems groups. Dahl currently lives in Lugano TI. By the way: Since banks initially did not want to finance his company, Dahl received money from private investor Sjur Thorsheim (64) when he started his career. He followed Dahl to Switzerland a few weeks ago.
Svein stole (60)
The former business journalist amassed a multibillion-dollar fortune with the Pareto Group, which provides financial services and also manages tankers, cargo ships and oil rigs through a shipping arm. Støle is not new to Switzerland: he moved to Zug five years ago and runs his business successfully from there.
Trond Klaveness (59)
Klaveness is the chairman and major shareholder of the Torvald Klaveness Group, a shipping company founded by his father in 1946. He has steadily expanded his wealth through his lucrative cargo ship business and the digitalization of logistics. And in 2022 he settled in Wädenswil ZH.
