In Western Europe, VW sold 255,300 vehicles, up 11.3 percent. In annual terms, after ten months the group has delivered 7.48 million vehicles; this is 10.9 percent better than the same period last year; There is still a small minus in China.

Sports car subsidiary Porsche delivered 25,600 cars in October; which was 8.8 percent more. Audi achieved stronger growth, with an increase of 15.6 percent to 152,400 vehicles. The sales of the main brand VW Passenger Vehicles increased by 6.6 percent to 414,100. Commercial vehicle holding company Traton’s deliveries increased by 5.9 percent to 29,100 vehicles.

The long-troubled electric car business in China appears to be gaining momentum at VW. Deliveries of all-electric vehicles nearly doubled in October, reaching 23,393 vehicles. A spokesperson said in a statement that ID.3 played a big role in this. The model is currently one of the best-selling electric cars in the People’s Republic.
