For our part: Rolf Cavalli moves to the Blick Group

As Head of Editorial, Rolf Cavalli will directly manage all specialist departments (news, politics, economy, society/people, mobility). Cavalli has spent the last 20 years as a manager in Swiss newsrooms. He has worked at CH-Media since 2014, first as head of digital department and finally as editor-in-chief of Aargauer Zeitung.

Steffi Buchli: “Rolf is one of the most experienced newsroom bosses in Switzerland, knowledgeable across all channels, strong in journalism and with a keen interest in digital storytelling. We also share the important core belief that good journalism can be measured. “I’m really looking forward to working with Rolf.”

The Return: A man looking back

Cavalli previously worked at Ringier from 1996 to 2014. Among other roles, as news director at SonntagsBlick, deputy editor-in-chief at Blick and SonntagsBlick and finally as the first digital boss of the Blick Group. Commenting on his return, he says: “I was very impressed with the strategy and objectives of the newly formed Blick Group. “I look forward to helping shape the new era and actively tackling challenges together with Steffi, Sandro and the entire Blick team.”

With the addition of Cavalli, Blick Group adds another member to its management team. The newsroom has been completely restructured under Buchli and Inguscio. The organization is based on content, digital and distribution divisions.

Under the umbrella of the Blick Group “Ringier Medien Schweiz”

On the content side, the management team includes Andreas Dietrich, editor-in-chief of Blick Print, Sandra Fröhlich, head of the audiovisual competence center, Emanuel Gisi, head of sports, and Michel Jeanneret, editor-in-chief of Romandie and Reza. Rafi is editor-in-chief of SonntagsBlick.
