Both contracts were signed at the Expo Real real estate fair in Munich.
The first order covers the construction phase of the Berlin Decks city campus in Berlin-Moabit for customer Beos. Implenia acquired it through a joint venture with the company Dressler Bau, Switzerland’s largest construction group, it announced on Friday. Implenia is responsible for technical development.
A sustainable research and media district will be built on the former industrial site. The main tenants of the space are the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) and Mercedes-Benz subsidiary MBition. High standards in terms of sustainability and energy efficiency will be applied in the construction. For example, roof areas are greened for a better indoor climate. It is also said that photovoltaic panels will be placed on the roof.
Implenia had already completed the first two construction phases of the city quarter. Completion of the area is planned for 2026.
Additionally, TÜV Nord Immobilien commissioned Implenia for the turnkey construction of a new office building in Essen, which includes a workshop and adjacent high-rise car park as well as a nursery. This building also needs to be designed for energy efficiency. It is planned to be completed in the summer of 2025. (SDA)
