Classic flavors are served several times a week at 40 percent off.

We consume luxury foods several times a week, according to a Norstat Institute study published Tuesday by Playboy magazine. 77 percent of respondents prefer desserts such as chocolate or cake.

More than one in every two people also drinks alcohol once or several times a week. Classic flavors are offered at 40 percent. Favorite alcoholic beverages include beer, wine and spirits, and the most popular flavor is shrimp.

Quality and taste remain important

Quality and taste are almost as important in shopping with 72 percent, and price with 77 percent. The health dimension is far behind with 42 percent. In a restaurant, taste is even more important. For three out of four participants, this is the main criterion. 55 percent pay attention mainly to price.

More than one in two people eats at a restaurant at least twice a month. However, 47 percent consider themselves talented in the kitchen and enjoy cooking. 13 percent described themselves as experts.

Survey participants tend to ignore ecological and health considerations when choosing their food and drink. 38 percent said they would pay more for organic food. The priority of 24 percent is health. 26 percent said they smoked tobacco. 1002 people were interviewed for the survey. (AFP)
