From 2025, 4,000 employees in post offices will have a new look. Traditional postal yellow is used for details only. Gray and avio – a shade of blue by the way – are the new colors of the uniforms. The entire collection consists of 20 pieces consisting of trousers, shirts, skirts, dresses and vests.

In the last 20 years, only individual details have been adjusted – but a lot has changed in the meantime. Both in branches and in the duties of employees. They also expressed their desire for contemporary clothing and increased comfort.

When a spokesperson asked Blick, “Post spends four million francs on new clothes,” he said. This includes the design process, the development of garments, internal expenditures and production. He emphasizes that it is important for Swiss Post that employees feel comfortable at work.

But the new look is not about the new logo. It’s not printed on new clothing either – it can only be seen on shirts and quilted gilets as an example.

August tests

Swiss Post employees also had a say in the new outfit. A working group of 21 people was formed and later 13 more were added to it. Active participation of the employees in the workshops was ensured.

In fact, the new garments will not be available for sale across Switzerland until 2025. However, 200 employees are testing the new garments from the beginning of August to the end of November. The purpose is to find out whether it is practical and comfortable to wear. After that, a final decision should be made about the material.
