That’s the result of the “Talent Trends 2023” study published Thursday by human resources firm Michael Page. Specifically, 63 percent of job seekers still think they will find a new job within six months. In the last survey conducted in the first quarter of 2021, this value was still 72 percent.
This trend can be attributed to concerns about future economic growth. In the current economic environment, companies are increasingly posting temporary, temporary and project positions. Also, according to the “Michael Page Switzerland Jobs Index”, the number of jobs posted fell -0.3 percent from May to June.
Another reason for the expected longer job search is the selection process. Many employers have increased requirements for applicants and lengthened the hiring process.
