The two young entrepreneurs probably imagined things differently: Two 25-year-old men made millions during Corona. They imported the masks and sold them in Switzerland, among other places. It is estimated that they amassed a fortune of 300 million francs. Now the two are arguing in court with a second Emix company.

According to “SonntagsZeitung”, in addition to Emix Trading AG, a second company has been involved in the mask deals. Emix Automobile has been registered in the trade registry since 2018. Managing directors are both masked millionaires and an additional man. The same man has now sued two young entrepreneurs. But why?

While the two Emix founders were busy with mask deals, the third general manager of Emix Automobil took the helm. A lawsuit has been filed: by Emix Automobile against Emix Trading.

Commission required for luxury cars

After the first money flowed, the two masked millionaires bought themselves two luxury sleds. To be more precise: a Rolls-Royce for 417,100 francs and a Bentley Continental for 270,100 francs. At that time, the acquisition was handled by two Emix companies. At that time, both companies were still under the control of two young entrepreneurs.

But that changed in the summer of 2021: According to the trade registry, the duo had lost their signing authority, as the report goes on. The new – only – general manager demands a commission of 60,000 francs. Because, thanks to his connections with luxury sled suppliers, he had negotiated twice as many discounts.

decision appealed

The Zug cantonal court sees the situation differently: it decided in favor of the masked millionaires and therefore against the unknown general manager. However, he has already appealed the decision. Therefore, the case should be reconsidered.

In a statement regarding the cantonal court’s decision, the two founders said that “the plaintiff was completely unsuccessful and it was therefore decided to pay all legal costs and party compensation”. (kae)
