In front of the Child and Adult Protection Authority (Kesb) in Sissach (BL), Freiheitstrychlers ring their bells and wave Swiss flags. This is evident from a video on X that went online on Wednesday. According to the post, Kesb turned off her doorbell and “locked herself in.”
888 The KESB youth authority here in Switzerland in Sissach simply turned off the doorbell and locked themselves. Well then we just have different bells that make these forced vaccinations of children sound better.

The cantonal police of Baselland confirms that the demonstrators are holding a vigil. And that has been the case since last week. Last Thursday, even 200 people made a pilgrimage to Sissach. According to the “Basler Zeitung”, Nicolas Rimoldi, the founder of the “Mass-Voll” movement which was critical of the Corona measures, was also on site that day.
They are all demonstrating against mandatory vaccinations.
But what actually happened?
We go back to 2019. A couple is on trial. They have six children together. And wants a divorce. During the divorce proceedings, the father asks the court to decide whether the two youngest children should be vaccinated against measles. He’s for it. The mother is against it.
The court rejected the father’s request several times. But he continues his judgment. In 2020, the Federal Court will finally hear the issue. And concludes on June 16, 2020: In a case where parents disagree about vaccinating their children, the Kesb or a court must decide. The authorities must act in the interests of the child’s well-being. “The guideline for the decision is the recommendation of the Federal Office for Public Health to carry out the measles vaccination,” the Federal Court writes.
The BAG recommends vaccination against measles because the disease causes a pronounced weakening of the immune system in almost all those affected. According to the BAG, serious complications occur in ten percent of cases. The Federal Court therefore states that not vaccinating children endangers the well-being of the child.
In its press release, the Federal Court also states:
Nevertheless, the Federal Court has set a precedent that will guide future case law in such cases.
The ex-couple’s two children must now be vaccinated.
That is why the responsible Kesb Gelterkinden-Sissach asked the mother several times to have her children vaccinated against measles. The mother ignored these requests.
Finally, the Kesb gave her an ultimatum: either she submitted proof of the vaccination of her two sons by September 15, 2023, or the vaccination is carried out under duress “by police enforcement by the Basel-Landschaft Security Directorate,” as “20 Minutes” quotes from a letter from Kesb.
A situation like this – where the police have to accompany children to the doctor’s office and ensure that they receive a vaccination – has never happened before in Switzerland.
The news portal ‘Hoch2.tv’, which is critical of the Corona measures and denies climate change, invited the mother of the two boys, now 9 and 10 years old, to their television studio at the end of August. There she said that her boys themselves said that they did not want to be vaccinated.
The mother also said she had her four older children vaccinated against measles. However, she decided completely against vaccinations for the youngest two boys. Why?
On the day of the deadline, demonstrators finally gathered for the first time in front of the Kesb Gelterkinden-Sissach. According to another, “They took garden furniture and kitchen utensils with them and ‘live’ and spend the night here,” he wrote on Wednesday. In addition, the community has now organized a security force that constantly watches over the entrance to Kesb.
About ten people have now settled on the KESB site in Sissach. They have brought garden furniture and kitchen utensils with them and ‘live’ and also spend the night here.

Mayor Peter Buser does not want to comment on the events before the Kesb to Watson and does not confirm any security services. The cantonal police of Baselland say they are aware of the vigil that is taking place. However, the demonstrators do not pose a danger to third parties.
And what about the danger to Kesb employees? Police spokesman Adrian Gaugler does not want to answer this. He also cannot say anything about a security service.
Kesb Gelterkinden-Sissach also does not want to comment on the current situation. The authority did not respond to Watson’s repeated requests for a long time. Finally, the co-chair promises to call back, but then cancels at short notice. When you call the authority, the automatic mailbox answers: “The secretariat is currently not busy.” Can Kesb no longer do his job because of the demonstrators? Possibly.
Police spokesperson Adrian Gaugler says he is “not yet aware of any police incidents”. This means that there has probably been no police action yet to ensure that the children receive their vaccination.
