Why gym dresses are cooler than leggings: and how they look on real figures

How often do you see girls in dresses at the gym? Not too long ago, even the phrase itself would have seemed strange, but these days sportswear stores really have a lot of dresses and skirts – and no, not just for nice photos on the court. We haven’t fully “tasted” the novelty yet, and Western fitness bloggers are already almost praising this invention. Well deserved by the way!

If only because fitness dresses solve the problem of leggings: sports leggings, of course, fit on the hips and stomach – and this is not always comfortable and psychologically comfortable. The skirt hides the hips and buttocks, which makes going to the gym a little easier and worries about sportswear. The new thing was especially warmly received by girls with realistic, “non-model” parameters: the skirt masks the volume at the waist and looks cute, feminine.

Of course, shorts are sewn under the skirt, so movements are not restricted in any way.

And the modern minimalist design makes it possible to combine fitness dresses with regular clothes – some girls even wear them to work (of course, if the dress code allows it). Since sportswear is made of materials that are comfortable on the body and are flexible, it is a really good idea for a casual look. Also a strong trend.

In 2023, the fashionista “plays” the core of ballet: a dance aesthetic where the form of professional ballerinas is combined with casual clothing. These are leggings and sweaters, Olympic and mini shorts, ballet shoes and leggings, sweatshirts and cycling shorts. And just such a short fitness dress, similar to the uniform of dancers.

So after a workout, it’s really easy to mix the dress with a comfy sweatshirt, ballet flats and leggings – and just get to work. Would you try it?
