Big help for the little ones: Russian brand released a collection to support “fish children” 28.04.2023, 14:01

May is the official ichthyosis awareness month, when charities, medical organizations and everyone who is not indifferent engage in education: they talk about what ichthyosis is and how to help young patients. Russian brand OLOLOL has volunteered to support the initiative by teaming up with the Butterfly Children Foundation specifically for this purpose.

The foundation helps children with incurable skin diseases: epidermolysis bullosa and ichthyosis. In the second, the skin loses its barrier functions and cannot retain moisture, so it begins to peel off and cover scales – this is why small patients with ichthyosis are called “fish”.

And it is extremely important to explain to both adults and children that “fish” need attention, special skin care – and above all, understanding. For this, OLOLOL has released a capsule collection for kids with the cutest knitted costumes that are printed with the animal symbols of the Indian goddesses Lakshmi, Saraswati and Durga.

The joint event of the brand and the Butterfly Children Foundation will last the whole of May until June 1 – Children’s Day. The brand donates part of the funds raised during this period to a charity foundation whose friends are Oksana Lavrentyeva, the founder of the OLOLOL brand, and her husband, the writer Alexander Tsypkin. Check out the brand’s boutiques and website to support the initiative and help the “butterflies” and “little fish” — the whole month of May is dedicated to them!
