The evolution of Petrosyan’s style: how the comedian dressed before and after his marriage to his young wife

The creative and love union of Elena Stepanenko and Yevgeny Petrosyan was considered by many to be unshakable. For many years, the couple looked like an example of a harmonious relationship.

It all started in 1979, when Stepanenko was introduced to Petrosyan by the comedian’s first husband, Alexandr Vasiliev. At that time, Evgeny Vaganovich was married for the third time and was already known throughout the Soviet Union. In 1985, Stepanenko got a job at the Theater of Various Miniatures, where Petrosyan became its artistic director. A stormy romance broke out and a year later they signed.

It seemed that nothing could destroy the connection between the two comedians. But everything was not as fairy-tale as it seemed at first glance. The artists lived together for 32 years, but only those closest to them knew that their relationship really ended in 2013.

According to family friend Sergei Drobotenko: “It looked like an ideal couple, but in reality it was just an appearance. As a family friend, I entered the house and occasionally witnessed conflicts. Elena is very jealous, and Yevgeny Vaganovich, of course, has many admirers and temptations. Moreover, two creative people under one roof is very difficult. Of course, he was aware of the discrepancy, but they were brought up in such a way that they could not hold personal affairs until the last moment. They were flawless in public…”

They held their own flawlessly, but in the end they broke up not as beautifully as we would have liked. In the spring of 2018, the closely watched divorce proceedings began, which the whole country watched with bated breath. 1.5 billion in jointly acquired property became a stumbling block and prevented an amicable separation.

At first, the artists tried to resolve everything peacefully, but Elena Grigoryevna filed a lawsuit in the Khamovniche court in Moscow, demanding that 80% of the property be recovered in her favor. This came as a surprise to Petrosyan and he learned about the act through the media.

What was the real reason for such a loud and scandalous divorce? Many consider the new love of the comedian, 31-year-old Tathana Brukhunova, who was Petrosyan’s assistant, to be the culprit of the breakup.

Petrosyan began to change in 2013 (just the estimated date of the breakup with Stepanenko). The comedian replaced the usual strict suits with unusual combinations of things.

Gone is the famous classic black suit and white shirt, in which the artist often appeared accompanied by Elena Stepanenko on stage and at social events. The comedian began to experiment with prints and styles, he began to favor bright colors.

Petrosyan’s fiancee, Tatyana Brukhunova, who started her career as a moderator of Elena Stepanenko’s official website, also changed. The new darling from an inconspicuous girl turned into a real worldly lady in branded outfits.

In December 2019, information appeared in the media about the formalization of the relationship between Tatyana Brukhunova and Evgeny Petrosyan, and in March 2020 there were rumors about the joint child of the couple, who appeared in a Dubai hospital thanks to a surrogate mother.

Although the information “lived happily ever after” was not officially confirmed by the couple, the external changes of the beloved folk artist are obvious.
