Here’s What You Missed From Couture Fashion Week – Check Out The Shows That Are Going Viral

Discussing and judging is the proven pattern of all fashion debates after Couture Week. Alexandre Vauthier’s collections are usually praised by critics – as a rule, the designer manages to create a festive classic haute couture that perfectly meets the requirements of the red carpet. Appropriately elegant, appropriately eccentric, always feminine and cheerful – that’s why stars from Bella Hadid to J.Lo regularly wear Vautier outfits.

But this time, “cut” dresses and artificial fur were added to the classics of the fashion house – a lot of fur in the juiciest shades. Why such attention to detail? Look closely – you’ll soon see them at celebrity premieres, on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show, on tracks and in interviews.

One of the most talked about shows of Haute Couture Week and definitely the highlight of our program is Valentino. This show went viral on the web like a champagne cork popped – lightning fast! Pink bow images “went viral” (only the industry stopped being in a “Valentine” fuchsia frenzy, and here we are again) and green tights. Time – and the near future – will tell which celebrity will be walking around in this combo.

But as always, the catwalk events got more views than the collection’s critics. Not again, but someone mentioned Valentino shoes with an unkind word – Kristen McMenamy fell, apparently because of uncomfortable pumps. It’s not the first time that models have a hard time enduring the stiletto race at the brand’s show, often leaving the race.

This time, the couture collection of the Russian designer Yulia Yanina was not presented in Paris, but remotely from Moscow. We are waiting for the return of red poppies – symbolic elements for Yanina Couture – on the Paris stage! But frankly speaking, watching haute couture in a lookbook or video presentation is no less interesting than watching a live show: on the set, models can afford more than at a traditional show, in terms of emotions and plasticity. Especially if one of them is a professional ballerina.

In the shoot, as dictated by poetry, waves and stone converged, graceful lines and dynamics, traditional haute couture and trouser suits with weightless tunics. The official legend of Couture Week is the Schiaparelli menagerie that Kylie Jenner teased before the show even started. The star walked in a lion-head dress ahead of Irina Shayk, who took to the stage in this picture – but since we’re still engaged judges, we prefer the countryman. Although the critics did not argue about who suits the lion better – but why the predators appeared in the show at all, they talked quite stormily.

The fashion house’s artistic director Daniel Roseberry explained that the animals are references to Dante’s Hell. And the animal rights activists decided that it was an outright mockery. Don’t rush to catch the hearts – the heads were artificial, of course! Although they look awfully realistic, and that’s a credit to the artists. Everyone will have to judge whether this is harshness or artistry, but one thing is for sure: the “head” will be clearly visible on the red carpet soon. And not one!
