Sounds promising, right? The fountain of youth is like an elixir of eternal youth. But we will confess to you right away: there is no “magic pill” and the advice that Anita Patrickson gave to her subscribers will not work a miracle. It will not save you from age-related changes and will not “return” your wardrobe to the N-year version. But it will help to adjust the proportions and assemble a seamless base that will hide the main problem areas – and this is already a huge plus.
- A classic trench coat with straight sleeves and a belt creates an elegant hourglass shape that defines the waist and balances the shoulders and hips. Whatever your proportions, in the vast majority of cases a good raincoat will optically rejuvenate the figure;
- leather pants, which the stylist recommends to wear after 40 (yes, yes!), will add an interesting and “expensive” texture to your look. The main thing is to choose a medium cut, a light flare and a noble shade that suits you. Start with chocolate – this is one of the safest options;
- a white silk blouse creates a beautiful drape and becomes an elegant accent. Choose looser cuts, don’t hesitate to try a blouse with an ascot collar (i.e. ribbons with a bow tie) – this will add a classic twist to the look;
- the navy blue “off the shoulder” jacket will become your best friend in general. Men’s styles with slightly expanded shoulders visually make your posture more even, and this is perceived by the subconscious mind as a sign of youth;
- the stylist also advises choosing an evening dress in which you feel best. It is difficult to advise a cut here, as you need to choose an outfit according to your figure. But the combination of, say, a slip dress and the same straight jacket is considered timeless – which means that it will suit you at any age and emphasize good taste.
