We know, we know, beautiful shoes, ankle boots, boots and other shoe models have one quality: they instantly fall in love and make you want to take them home as soon as you look at the price tag and weigh all the pros and cons. Unfortunately, the euphoria of a cool purchase doesn’t last long: it’s clear from the first time you leave the house that you’ve made your choice in a hurry. And that, to put it mildly, is a shame!
Sliding sole
As a rule, this is a painful feature of stiletto heels. Many shoes are not designed for active walking: you will stand beautifully in them, and that’s it. So if you start to slip while walking around the store, don’t blame it all on the smooth tiles: the grip should always be firm.
You need to change your gait
We understand that some stilettos make you at least feel like the queen of the world. But don’t forget that the shoes serve you, not you! So if you now have to shift your weight to your toes, slow your step or force your balance to make a purchase, it’s not our choice.
The shoes squeeze the toes
Be honest with yourself: even if you really, really like the shoes, but feel like the cape is pinching your toes, then this is a mighty “red flag”! During assembly, you won’t feel a catastrophic situation yet, but after a few hours on your feet, you will understand – this is simply torture! Fingers go numb, goosebumps start running down the leg… Pleasant and useful are generally not enough.
Pressure or numbness
If you feel numbness in your toes, heel, or any part of your foot, take off your shoes immediately. You can, of course, try to loosen the laces, replace the insole with an orthopedic one, but sometimes these tricks are powerless. If the last one doesn’t suit you, and when you try ankles, toes, games, feet – whatever – you should put the new thing away.
