Alejandro Sanz: “Sometimes I don’t even want to be there”

“I’m not well. I don’t know if this is useful, but I want to say it. I’m sad and tired (…) Sometimes I don’t even want to be there,” says singer Alejandro Sanz.

The artist wrote this text in a message published this Saturday at Twitter which generated thousands of responses of support and appreciation for making mental health issues visible.

“I’m working to make it go away… I’ll get to it scenarios and something inside will tell me what to do,” he says.

“But sometimes I don’t even want to be there. Literally. Just to be honest. Not to get into useless noise. I know there are people who feel that way. If it works for you, I feel the same way,” he explains.

In a text that already has more than 100,000 “likes” and almost 10,000 retweetsthe Spanish interpreter says he wants to share this sentiment “in case anyone else believes there must always be a sea breeze or fireworks on a summer night.”
