Reader Selina Ewen writes: “The restaurant is on the beautiful shore of Lake Hallwil. In addition to the great ambiance, you can enjoy great service and top quality food! In summer and winter, you can enjoy magnificent views of the lake, up to the Alpine panorama of Lucerne. There is always a holiday mood.»
His second recommendation is the restaurant at the Seerose Resort & Spa in Meisterschwanden AG, also on the shores of Lake Hallwil.

Reader Marcel Stettler recommends this restaurant on Lake Burgäschi: “The restaurant is in a very idyllic location. There is a beautiful lake view especially from the terrace. A walk around the lake completes a good meal.”
Aux Trois Amis, Schernelz BE
This restaurant is a favorite of reader Martin Schneider: “It is located above Lake Biel, with views of the Alps. The garden terrace just above the vines invites you to linger. Excellent food and attentive service complete the beautiful setting. If you peruse the wine list, you will find many wines from Lake Biel, a few other Swiss wines and very few foreign products. Beautiful, Swiss products are in the foreground. The same goes for the menu.”

Reader Peter Grünblatt recommends visiting: «The hotel has several restaurants and is right on the water. The garden restaurant has only loose seating. A long pier with seating in the summer opens onto the water, where the hotel’s own ship, Emily, is moored. The menu offers a lot in a relaxed atmosphere. The service is very attentive and very friendly. Butcher’s pie, which has been a tradition here for years, is made in late autumn.”
