Climbing and barbecue in Graubünden
In the climbing garden of Bivio GR, at the foot of the climbing wall, you can have a warm barbecue and dine after a long struggle. The beautiful little town is located in the middle of Parc Ela, Switzerland’s largest nature park, and is the only Italian-speaking municipality in the north of the Alpine basin. There is also a proposition for non-climbers: many hiking and themed trails await them.

Small and beautiful in Arnisee
Almost no one knows, almost no one deviates from it: The Arnisee above Gutnellen UR is a real insider tip! The barbecue area is equipped with everything you need and enjoys an idyllic location. You can reach 1,368 meters above sea level on foot or by cable car, accompanied by the view of the Urner mountains. You can also stay overnight if you wish: the shimmering blue-green lake features two restaurants and offers hikers the perfect starting point for tours of the Reuss Valley.
3
Oeschinensee: for fishermen and families
Always worth a trip and a cervelat: a trip to Oeschinensee above Kandersteg BE is fun for the whole family. Hiking, rowing, summer sledding – everything is on offer here. True adventurers can even catch grilled trout themselves (daily permits are available at the restaurant on the lake).

Murtensee: Very good
Between 1916 and 1917, the caves above Môtier FR near Mont-Vully were excavated to defend the country during the First World War. Today they make a lovely backdrop for an adventure playground for children and a shaded barbecue area with a view of Lake Murten. Ideal for families and little explorers. Be sure to take a flashlight with you to explore the caves.

Barbecue fun at Türlersee
Close to the city and yet a true nature experience: Türlersee (about 30 minutes from Zurich) offers several fireplaces, crystal clear water and pure tranquility. There are several legends about its origin. But what you know for sure: Today it is a real natural gem. More than 20 species of orchids and gentians live on the shores of the nearly 10,000-year-old lake.

Royal view on the ridge road
Queen Rigi never disappoints: on the hill road between Känzeli viewpoint and Staffelhöhe station it is one of the most beautiful fireplaces in Switzerland (about 30 minutes walk from Rigi Kaltbad) – Uri has breathtaking panoramic views of Nidwalden and the Bernese Alps.
