The cultural agenda for the next few days is very diverse as this month marks several dates related to black ethnicity, recycling and other events.
There are activities for all tastes and budgets, and best of all, you can enjoy them alone or with friends or family.
Below we list events which will take place during the weekend.
black nationality
– As part of the commemoration university cinema presented the “Cycle in Salute to Black Nationality Month”, a compilation of 19 films, and on Friday, May 19, the latest shows will be shown.
Admission is free, and tapes will be shown coffee (3:00 p.m.), “I’m not a witch” (5:00 p.m.) i “Moonlight” (19:00) commemorating the history of Afro-descendants.
– On May 19, in the Hatillo building, on the ground floor, a Afro fair with activities for the whole family.
– During the weekend, there will be Black ethnic group parade in corregimiento Río Abajo.
Recycling
– “Barbecue with a purpose” is back and on May 21st there will be an edition for Recycling month in Ecospot, Multiplaza parking lot, from 3 to 9 p.m
The event is pet friendly, they will have small market and activities like narrator, art exhibition and more workshops learn how to make compote and how to reduce carbon emissions.
Other activities
– On May 20 and 21 at 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m., the audience will be able to enjoy “Travels through memory”theatrical immersion with poetry, singing and oral storytelling about the history of Panama.
The route is Albrook (starting point)-City of Knowledge, the bus is taken at the entrance five at transport terminal and the fee is 25 cents.
– The festival of performing arts in its 12th edition takes over Cathedral square starting at 17:00.
