Black Ethnicity Month at the National Library of Panama

For more than two decades, the Month of Ethnic Groups has been celebrated in Panama every May, according to Law 9 of May 30.

With this celebration, they want to highlight their contributions scientific, cultural, gastronomic, work and economically Panamanian Afro-descendants.

Once more Ernesto J. Castillero R. National Library. joins in celebrating Black Nationality Month with a full schedule of activities.

This May 20, from 11 a.m., the day will begin with the talk “Universo congo: music, gastronomy and heritage”.

researchers Leticia Levy and Nolis Boris Gondolatogether with journalist Dayana Rivas will discuss the richness of this cultural expression and its diverse legacy, beyond the drum and rich dishes.
