Don’t feel like driving or using public transport? The future is calling – 10 e-scooters with power

Already very popular in southern Europe, more and more e-scooters and e-motorcycles are coming to Switzerland. These models are already available for driving licenses category A1 or category A (restricted).

E-scooters are very popular with boys, precisely because you can ride them with or without a moped ID. However, e-Vespas and e-motorcycles are less common on Swiss roads. As with classic Vespas and motorcycles, you also need a driving license category A1 small motorcycles or a driving license category A (restricted) limited to 35 kW, depending on the engine power. Below are ten e-scooters that fall into one of two categories.

Looks like he was teleported from TRON. The BMW CE 04 has been on the market since March 2022 and is the successor to the C evolution released in 2017. With a top speed of 120 km/h, the BMW CE 04 is also suitable for longer distances.

Askoll NGS3, Electric motorcycle

A Made in Italy scooter designed in collaboration with Italdesign. Ideal as a city scooter and a detour out of the city is also possible. The two batteries are removable, so you can easily charge the scooter at home.

Vespa Elettrica

With its classic appearance, the Vespa remains one of the most beautiful scooters in the world. This also applies to the electric version of the Vespa. With a speed of 70 km/h and a range of only 70 kilometers, it is only suitable for longer journeys to a limited extent, but a short journey on a country road is possible.

Seat Mo 125 Performance

The Seat Mó 125 Performance holds the Guinness World Record in two disciplines. Two endurance records for fully electric scooters were set within 48 hours. A relay race was run in the first 24 hours. In the second 24 hours, an endurance record was set with only one driver. The driver covered a total of 1158 kilometers. This roughly corresponds to the distance from Zurich to Barcelona.

Piaggio 1 Active

Like the Vespa Elettrica, the Piaggio 1 Active is made by Piaggio and is arguably the smarter but less cool alternative to the Vespa. There is room for two people, so you can bring a friend. Outside the city, however, the scooter is too weak and therefore too slow, making you uncomfortable in traffic.

Ecoro Syra 90

Ecoro GmbH is a Swiss company founded at the end of 2019 by father and son. The Syra 90 is primarily designed for the city and short journeys on country roads. In terms of design, it is strongly based on the classic Vespa look.

RGNT no. 1 classic

The design is reminiscent of the Yamaha SR 500, with the power of 12.9 hp you can go with the No. 1 Classic SE, but still use it in everyday life. The range of 148 kilometers is also sufficient so that the engine does not have to be charged every day.

Govecs swallow 90 km/h

The “Schwalbe” is actually a Simson KR 51 with an electric motor. However, the cover is not made of sheet steel like the GDR classic, but of plastic.

Silence S01

According to the Spanish manufacturer, the Silencio S01 is the best-selling electric scooter in Europe. The battery, which weighs 40 kilograms, can be removed and pulled like a trolley.

Zero S

Just on the border to the next higher vehicle category, you could drive the Zero S from the age of 16. It is rated at 15 horsepower, but when accelerating, the Zero S engine can produce up to 59 horsepower. The range and speed make the Zero S a motorcycle that actually has nothing in common with the other scooters in the A1 category.
