Johnny Depp wants to do it again and has several comebacks in the pipeline, not only as an actor after the scandalous star was away from the camera for several years, but also as a director! And if you’ve never heard of Depp directing, it’s not surprising either: It’s been 25 years since he directed a feature film – namely the neo-western “The Brave” (1997) starring Marlon Brando and himself.

Firstly, Johnny Depp will be back on the big screen in a few days, but not yet in Germany. His historical film”Joan of Barry‘, which he is directed by Maiwenn King Louis XV will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16, 2023. The film already has a set start date in France, Spain and the Netherlands, among others – we expect a date for Germany to be announced soon.
