We have already introduced you to really good headphones for less than 30 euros. The 7Hz Salnotes Zero convince with an excellent price-performance ratio, but are wired. The Anker Soundcore P3i as true wireless headphones, on the other hand, is not. Thanks to a 40 percent discount, the small ear studs at Amazon cost only 41.99 euros:
Anker Soundcore P3i: Good test results thanks to adjustable ANC
If you’re skeptical about the low price, it’s completely understandable. So did we, but the in-ears actually did well in some tests. The specialist page headphones. com for example, awards 4.25 out of 5 stars.
The greatest strength of the P3i is the active noise reduction, which can be set in three positions. Even much more expensive headphones like the Apple AirPods Pro, where you can only turn the ANC on or off, can’t. The Anker in-ears also offer a two-level transparency mode that lets through all or just voices.
This works well in practice, but a certain background noise can be detected in all modes, which is particularly noticeable at lower volumes. In addition, the ANC does not come close to the quality of more expensive models, but it still does its job well. In terms of sound, the P3i are quite bass-heavy, but not overly bulky. Unless you’re an audiophile, you’ll probably like the sound profile.
This also applies to the app connection, which gives you access to numerous functions and setting options. You can adjust the sound to your liking, adjust the ANC, find your in-ears, adjust the touch controls or select the game mode. Then the in-ears automatically highlight steps, voices and shots, so that you have optimal conditions, especially for shooters.
Long battery life and good voice quality for calls
In normal use, the batteries of the P3i last more than seven hours, in pure ANC operation six hours. The charging case gives you another 24 to 28 hours, and there’s also a fast charging feature. The only downside here: there’s no charge level indicator, so you can only guess when the studs will be fully ready to use again.
Another lack is the lack of an on / off switch on the earbuds themselves, which only turn on and off when they are taken in or out of the charging case. So you should always have the case with you if you don’t want to risk a premature emergency with the battery.
Also worth mentioning on the positive side is the good voice quality when making calls due to the three built-in microphones per earpiece. Plus, the Anker Soundcore P3i comes with five rubber tips, so you’re likely to find the perfect fit for your ears. In addition, the P3i are IPX5 certified and can therefore also be used in the rain.
The best alternative to the Anker Soundcore P3i
A more expensive, but also better quality alternative to the Anker Soundcore P3i is the Anker Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro, which is currently available in frost white for 89 euros Media Markt* And Saturn* gives. The in-ears cost in Midnight Black 98.99 euros on Amazon*.
Hifi.de testifies the Liberty 3 Pro, to offer one of the best ANCs in its price range, and praises the long battery life of up to 32 hours per charging case and the excellent app connection. Kopfhoerer.de even gives it 4.75 out of 5 stars, highlighting, among other things, the low background noise in ANC mode.
So in the end, the Liberty 4 Pro does everything slightly better than the P3i. But they also cost just over twice as much, but still significantly less than the competition’s models.
