The Twilight movies have always divided audiences. Many have experienced the series as a faithful companion in their own childhood. Others found them terribly kitschy. Despite harsh criticism, the series starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner is still on everyone’s lips. It is therefore not surprising that a series comeback with new actors is planned. To ease your wait, we bring you well-hidden Easter eggs that pay homage to Stephenie Meyer’s novels.
Speaking of Stephenie Meyer, she has a guest appearance that only stands out if you know the author’s face and listen closely. In a dinner scene where Bella and Charlie talk in a corner, Stephenie Meyer sits at the counter and is handed her food by the waitress. She also says, “Here’s your veggie plate, Stephenie.” It was not the last time the author gives credit in the movies. In the first part of “Breaking Dawn”, she is one of the wedding guests.
If you feel like you suddenly have vampires in your life, you’re sure to have some burning questions under your fingernails. So does Bella, who comes across two Easter eggs that reference the books during her investigation. While searching the internet, she comes across a book published by Little, Brown and Company. This is the publisher responsible for publishing all four “Twilight” novels. The publishing house seems to be learning a lot about vampires!
A second Easter egg is found as Bella reads. It is important to pay attention to which side she does this on. It is page 135 that is also central to Stephenie Meyer’s first “Twilight” novel. It is on this new page that Bella first realizes that vampires exist. A cute Easter egg that you can’t think of without knowing it.
