One of the funniest cult comedies of the 2000s finally gets a sequel after 20 (!) years!

As Hollywood industry magazines unanimously report, Vince Vaughn is the first star to officially board Dodgeball 2, aka Busty Nuts 2. He will again star and also produce the project for Disney subsidiary 20th Century Studios. Jordan VanDina (“The Binge”) is also working on the script. The basis for this should be a story idea from Vaughn to continue his gym owner’s story. Other participants are not yet known – above all, the question is of course whether Ben Stiller will be there again.

Most recently, actor Justin Long was already teasing the sequel (making it clear that the longtime stars were at least informed of his plans by Vaughn). Long explained that while Stiller is interested in a sequel, he is very cautious. He’s scared because the original is such a popular modern comedy classic that’s still celebrated: “You don’t want to care about the original, you want something just as good.”

At the time, Long expressed hope that the “very convincing” Vince would bring Vaughn Stiller on board — but the comedy star may have to wait and see how the script currently being written turns out.
