Is The Flash the Best Superhero Movie of the Year? The best DC movie in a very, very long time? That remains to be seen. In any case, according to the first reactions, it is a lot of fun, filled with numerous surprising cameos and, above all, a pleasure for all those who have already celebrated Marvel’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in the cinema.
critic not only mentions Marvel’s Spidey meeting as a comparison film for the DC adventure, in which two versions of The Flash (each Ezra Miller) together with Michael Keaton’s Batman and Supergirl (Sasha Calle) have to save the multiverse, but also “Back in the future” . Finally, in The Flash, time travel sets in motion the entire danger to the universe as the titular hero tries to prevent the murder of his mother, who died when he was a young boy.
Yup #The flash is as good as rumours. It’s Back to the Future meets Spider-Man: No Way Home with all the humor and heart of the former and the action and surprises of the latter. It might be a little too ambitious, but it’s also just incredibly satisfying, heartwarming, and fun. pic.twitter.com/Yysb9mjiAm

But Lussier doesn’t just aim for content. The Flash has the humor and heart of Back to the Future and the surprises of Spider-Man: No Way Home. It also points to a mix of touching elements, great action and a lot of humor in her initial response via Twitter.
Caught an unfinished part of it #The flash and dug quite a few of them! Especially how the story challenges Barry to confront who he is, who he could have become, and how one is influenced by the people in (or not in) their lives.
It’s a successful mix of sincere coming-of-age… pic.twitter.com/CB7mTDEZXC

Directly from the house meanwhile , And . For Davis “The Flash” even ranks among “the best superhero movies ever made” with “innovative storytelling” and “fantastic action sequences”..
DCs #The flash is amazing! Forget DC, it’s hands down one of the best superhero movies ever made. To all timers. Inventive storytelling, FANTASTIC action sequences, great cast. SO MANY nerdy details. I am in tears at the end. Everything you want from a superhero movie and more pic.twitter.com/xYSn0zuXMm

For Gonzalez, “The Flash” – if you discount the Christopher Nolan films – is one of the best DC movies of the last 30 years. DC fans also love the way the movie honors the brand’s past.
BELIEVE THE HYPE! Christopher Nolan movies aside, #TheFlashMovie is the BIGGEST DC movie of the past 30 years that belongs in the same conversation as SUPERMAN 78 and BATMAN 89. Breaking new ground in superhero cinema, the movie honors DC lore from years past. #The flash pic.twitter.com/zGkhpfjlsl

Meanwhile, Mantz wants them “Perfect mix of action, heart and humour” have seen.
THE FLASH is awesome! One of the very best DC movies, a perfect mix of action, heart and humour! So many WOW & chill inducing moments that longtime DC fans will love! EZRA MILLER is fantastic (twice actually!) & MICHAEL KEATON still has it! #The flash #BATMAN #CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/mYJrz7YUZG

If after fans should also look out for newcomer Sasha Calle as Supergirl and Michael Keaton’s comeback as Batman.
#The flash is pretty good, and it makes sense to me now why DC didn’t shelve this one. Michael Keaton is… the boss’s kiss. I didn’t realize how much I needed Keaton’s Batman back in my life. Some really emotional moments here. Sasha Calle is amazing – I want to see more of her! pic.twitter.com/2DYhSKMfyI

What’s next in the DCU? “The Flash” is the answer
also points to the special role of “The Flash”. It is common knowledge that the DC Universe is in transition. The old franchise will be canceled or at least replaced. James Gunn builds his new DCU, which retains elements but does other things from scratch. “The Flash” fits in there as a “bridge story” between the old and new DC Universe.
Just looked #The flash at CinemaCon. There are things you won’t believe and it shows a lot more of Barry Allen’s powers. It is indeed one of DC’s best and fits nicely as a bridge story between the old and new DCEU franchises. It’s also the funniest DC movie. pic.twitter.com/uDepMKVVG1
— Rob Keyes (@rob_keyes) April 26, 2023
But you don’t have to worry about “The Flash” feeling like a pure bridge movie. Another response from the exchange reported that the story started with a lot of structure, but ended with a real conclusion.
Good, #The flash is easily the best DC movie since The Dark Knight! It exceeded all expectations and was incredibly fun and heartbreaking! The story begins with much intent, but ends with a conclusion
Excited to see what’s next @JamesGunn‘s direct current pic.twitter.com/gjSDFe6Tiu

However, it is somewhat limiting who made the movie praises in general, but criticizes many “outlandish decisions”. – some in history, some technical. “The Flash” is therefore “not fantastic, but still quite good at times”.
#The flash manages to deliver glorious high sensations. Andy Muschietti captures what many of us have always dreamed of for a cinematic Flash story.
But there are also plenty of *bizarre* decisions. Some story related and some technical. Not great, but still pretty good at times. pic.twitter.com/SjO27VtH1O

Criticisms that can be found in the first reactions depend mainly on the second half of the film. Like like criticize this. Sneider says the first hour is “pretty fantastic” and the last hour “mostly awful”. He cites fan service and the well-known DC villain problem as major weaknesses.
THE FLASH: First hour is pretty fantastic. Strikes the perfect tone. Ezra is great. heroics Funny. Emotional. The last hour is MOSTLY horrible. Just an utter mess that leaves you wondering “what the hell is going on?” Problem with fan service and DC villains strikes again. Jumpsuit with mixed bag.

Parts of the movie were “fun” for Rubin, but by the second hour she was completely exhausted. “The Flash” is by no means one of the best superhero movies of all time.
#The flash is… not one of the best superhero movies ever. Parts are funny and fun, but I was completely exhausted by the second hour. It took me at least 5 minutes to recognize Michael Keaton though, so do what you will with it. #CinemaCon

Until we”the flash‘ in the cinema, we still have to be patient. The superhero movie directed by “ES” creator Andy Muschietti opens on June 15, 2023.
While initial reactions after an early screening should always be treated with a bit of caution as it often focuses on the positive elements, DC fans in particular should look forward to the theatrical release after these voices are even happier – and hope that the many surprise cameos are not all spoiled now. In the meantime, you can check out the new trailer that was also just released:
